AgriJordan sponsored a team of ten students for the 2014 17th annual Dead2Red Relay Race, a 240 kilometer race from the Dead Sea to the Red Sea involving teams from around the world. The Dead2Red Relay Race team had a twofold objective: to promote Jordan as an adventurous destination for people of all ages and to raise funds for the nonprofit organization Reclaim Childhood.
"In winter we grow fruit and vegetables for Europe at 400m below sea level. In summer we harvest at an altitude of 850m, when it is too hot in the Gulf States", says Bushra Bataineh, describing the advantages of Jordanian agriculture. A paradigm shift is currently taking place in the Jordan Valley, according to the hydrologist at the AgriJordan company.
Agri Jordan has entered into an agreement with Carrefour Hypermarket in the United Arab Emirates to supply their stores with the full range of agriculture produce. Agri Jordan’s innovative processes increase crop efficiency by utilizing nearly 90% less water than traditional methods of farming.
